Clark Equipment Company is founded in the United States in 1903( Buchanan, Michigan) and is predominantly active for the American Railroads. In 1924 Clark invents the predecessor of the current forklift truck. In 1945 the first forklift trucks are shipped to Europe. In the 80s the company suffered heavily under the invasion of Japanese forklift truck manufacturers in the United States.
