TCM means Toyo Carrier Manufacturing and is founded in 1949. TCM is a Japanese company that started out by focussing solely on the Japanese market. TCM manufactured the first forklift truck made in Japan. In 1990 TCM opens an office in Europe focussing on Marketing, technical research, production and stock. Two years before this, the first production facility in the United States was opened.
In 2013 TCM Corporation and Nissan Forklift Ltd. decide to merge into Unicarriers Corporation. Hitachi Construction Machinery collaborates since 1999 with TCM and is part of the Unicarriers Corporation.
